The Royal Statistical Society (RSS) has a scheme in which organisations can ask for voluntary work and RSS members can put themselves forward to do this.


Through this I'm helping a voluntary organisation in Edinburgh on managing the data they collect, looking at the impact of their work, and showing others

Starting work for ADASS (Association of Directors of Adult Social Care) in East of England.  To look at examples of "Digital Front Doors" for adult social care and lessons for implementation


Having discussed the work, this has been expanded to include simple search for examples by  other Local Authorities in England.  Will be making a presentation to the June meeting of the digital subgroup.

Since August 2020 have been co-ordinating a group of Local Authorities across England to share their research and analysis for local services.

Chatting about:

  

  1. Diverting resources to help Councils develop responses for Local Government national reorganisation of Counties
  2. Helping Council responses to Pathways to Work: Reforming Benefits and Support to Get Britain Working Green Paper
  3. Council has "volunteering days".  Feelgood family picnics will be coming up soon, expected to volunteer for working with the public and helping them engage with climate change activities
  4. Discussing how best to deal with changes in organisations
  5. Sharing use of software

Each provides summaries for: familial, intimate partner and victims who died by suicide.


Key findings from analysis of domestic homicide reviews: September 2021 to October 2022.  This has analysis of lessons learned and also recommendations.


Quantitative analysis of domestic homicide reviews: October 2022 to September 2023 has the more recent information on age, gender and ethnicity (for the three sets of victims).
